Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be your name
Your kingdom come, your will be done
Hallowed be your name.
On the earth as it is heaven
Hallowed be your name
Give us today our daily bread
Hallowed be your name.
Forgive us all our sins and offences
Hallowed be your name
As we forgive those who sin against us
Hallowed be your name.
Lead us not to the devil to be tempted
Hallowed be your name
But deliver us from all that is evil
Hallowed be your name.
For yours is the kingdom,
he power and the glory
Hallowed be your name
For ever and ever and ever and ever
Hallowed be your name.
Ch: Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together with cords
That cannot be broken,
Bind us together, Lord-2
Bind us together in Love,
There is only one God,
There is only one King,
There is only one Body,
That is why we sing.
There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of love
There shall be seasons refreshing
Sent from the saviour above.
Chorus : Showers of blessing
Showers of blessing we need.
Mercy drops round us are falling
But for the showers. We plead.
There shall be showers of blessing,
Send them upon us, 0 Lord,
Grant to us now a refreshing.
Come and now honour thy word.
Praise him, praise him Praise him in the morning Praise him in the
noon time. Praise him, praise him, Praise him, when the sun goes
down, 2. Love him 3. Trust him. 4. Serve him.
Ch: There are numerous strings in your lute, Let me add my own
among them 1. Then when you smite your chords, my heart will
break its silence and my heart will be one with your song. Amidst
your numberless stars. let me place my own little lamp. in the
dance of your festival of lights my heart will throb and My life will
be one with your smile.
We shall overcome (2)
We shall overcome some day
O deep in my heart I do believe
We shall overcome some day.
We will walk hand in hand (2)
We will walk hand in hand some day
O deep in my heart I do believe
We shall overcome some day.
We are not afraid we are not afraid
We are not afraid today
O deep in my heart I do believe
We shall overcome some day.
Ref: This is my prayer to thee, my Lord:
Strike, strike at the root of penury in my heart
1. Give me the strength lightly to bear my joys and sorrows.
2. Give me the strength to make my love fruitful service.
3. Give me the strength never to disown the poor or bend my knees before insolent might.
4. Give me the strength to raise my mind high above daily trifles.
5. Give me the strength to surrender my strength to thy will with love.
Ref: I have come to thee to take thy touch before I begin my day
1. Left thy eye rest upon my eyes for a while. 2. Let me take to my
work the assurance of comradeship. 3. Fill my mind with thy
music to last through the desert of my noise. 4. Let thy love's
sunshine kiss the peaks of my throughts and linger in my life's
valley where the harvest ripens.
Mount Carmel we bend before thee,
School of purity divine,
Make us love thee we implore thee
Make us truly to be thine !
Teach Oh ! teach us Holy Carmel
How to conquer every sin !
How to love and help each other
How the prize of life to win !
In a world so dark bemoaning,
In the world of hate and strife,
Be to us a beacon beckoning
To the shore of light and life.
Carmel means an orchard or garden-Iand. As a proper name Mount Carmel designates a well-known mountain ridge overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Israel. Due to its panoramic vista and luxuriant vegetation the prophets of the Bible saw an image of God’s beauty in it and took it as a sign of God’s love and blessings for this people.
